I learned that my Tamron 70-300 sucks at panning. Autofocus isn't fast enough. But yes, I picked up loads of tips. The cats were shot through glass and the third bird down was through wire mesh.

I forget what body you're using, Nikon or Canon?

I have a Sigma 150-500 AF zoom here (this one I think (http://www.kenrockwell.com/sigma/150-500mm.htm)) that I don't use enough....it fits Canon....chances are the AF would be too slow with this too though...

Why B&W on the zebras? aren't they B&W already? or were they suffering from sunburn?

Great lumur
Tigers don't seem that "sharp" somehow?
Like the mccaw (?) - shame the other one got in the way there.

Great shots, shame there are no bugs. :-) Hope you enjoyed it.

We didn't get to go to the bug house. The Tigers were through glass so I guess it affected the IQ. Cheap lens though. The guy running the thing has a 70-200mm F2.8 L Canon lens. He emphasised on focusing on the eye, very important to a strong image.

Ah, that would make sense. Considering it's through glass then, it's great!
