Bought this on a complete whim in July, in that time I've balanced the carbs, fitted 2 new tyres, new front pads and put it through an MOT

It was intended to be used as a track bike but it's in pretty good condition and is a bit too nice to be stripped down and thrashed so I've bought another SV and will tracking that. Paintwork is a TVR pearlecent colour which looks different in different angles and has been very well done. Also fitted with an ART can which sounds awesome.

Unfortunately it has a few electrical gremlins, it seems to run fine but will just cut out. Last time this happened was about 4 weeks ago, I towed it home and stuck it in the shed, now it wont even turn over. I think it's the fuel pump relay or something.

£1400 Swaps or PX for an off road bike considered.

Bump, open to offers, surely someone must be looking for a project to keep them busy over winter

Have a look at the side stand cut off switch. Mates got a cbr400 roughly same age, and had the same issue caused by corroded wiring to the s/stand switch.

Thanks, but that wouldn't matter if the bike was in neutral would it?

Do all the meter lights come on the dash when you turn the bike on? Did the bike just stop or stutter before stalling altogether? If you have a multimeter, try checking the kill switch function and connectors, or carefully take the switch apart and clean any dirt off the contacts.

Gives it a false signal thinking the side stands down when its in gear so cuts the bike out and wont let it start ;)
