Well it had to happen one day. Went on a brisk ride, yea it was to the coast, lovely day out, started to pure down on the way home, totally drenched, I got a non water proof jacket even though it says it is.
Anyway last but one bend to my house and off I went sliding merrily down the road. Leg kept the bike off the road lol.lots of bruises and some how managed to burn yes burn my elbow, even though the jacket did not rip.
Damaged wing mirror and brake leaver etc and oh my poor exhaust is poobard.
All bike gear did its job.left a nice scrape down the road, so every time I come home, I see it.
See you all soon.

Note to self:
ride carefully in the rain and wear your gear.

Sorry to hear that but glad you are mostly intact. To be honest you may as well leave the end can off anyway, can't see it making a lot of difference. Mirror may be useful for your exhuberent overtakes but brakes ... pah..

Sorry to read about the off, but glad you're in good spirits. You'll ache the morn.

Insult to injury.
Letter in the post this morning.
3 points and £100 fine for speeding ..........
Things can only get better ..... I hope.
Look on the bright side. 73 in a 50 zone, slowest that day so can't really complain.
But still ouch.

Bloody hell Tony. Glad to hear that you aren't too bad. I suppose it could have been worse. It would take ages to be recovered back home from the coast so at least you dropped it locally. And as far as the speeding goes, I had to have a little chuckle. I hope you don't mind.
Anyway, get well soon mate.

You're a donut ;-) Unlucky mate, glad you're ok and much less scary than the hedge cutting truck near miss you told me about.

poobard.
Its FUBAR ;)

As for riding slowly in the rain, i do nothing else. Never liked the rain especially in London where there is usually a lot of diesel to which i have come a cropper a few times.

Anyway, sounds like you got off lightly with a few bruises. Heal fast
