I do not use these or know anyone that does.

My own fear installing something like this is expecting the car driver behind you not to get too confused

''OMG why is his brake light flashing orange?!!1!1! I'm confused someone fetch my wooden spoon! oh well better drive into him just in case its the work of aliens!''

As my SV will be used mainly on track I was thinking about getting a similar sort of thing. Just worried about it failing an MOT, I suppose you could just tape them up and pretend your bike has no lights.

Just stick a couple of orange lollypops out the tail for the MOT :P

Too close together and an MOT failure i think

plus as stated above car drivers won't see them or will get confused

Always good to get someone else's opinion. Put me right off the idea now lol. Cheers

These used to be legal under the MoT as I have one on my Thou', but, in about 2012 they changed the ruleing so that you can't have the brake light turn off when the indicator turns on.

I know there is a bit about how they are supposed to be a certain distance apart, but, that never got raised, the lack of a brake light when indicating was the big issue.

They are currently an MoT failure in the UK, but, not sure about Ireland

Surely brake light remains on on the other strip though

Not when you have your hazards flashing ;)

Plus imagine the brake glare from the left plus the flashing orange that close together - good luck guessing what the biker is doing...

I have something like this fitted to my ZX9 but I also have normal indicators on the rear as well to work in tandem with the integrated ones. The integrated ones are spliced into the existing wiring with a plug so I can simply unplug them to disconnect them if needed and still have the original indicators working.

They're alright but I wouldn't rely on them. Main reason I have these is to switch from halogen brake lights to LED. The integrated indicators was just a bonus.
