Having been out of touch with Scottish affairs for a few years now, I'm just reading about the fire at this place.

What a tragedy, used to be a favourite stopping place for bikers.

Anyone heard of plans to reopen?

Nope not heard of any plans, still to this date the cheapest place I've ever stayed at with the better half.. 15 quid a night (some offer she got) .. but jeez it was dated! yet to find a cheaper place, even a camp sights usually about ten quid.

Great location, be good if they opened something there.

The local community are fund raising to try and get the place rebuilt, as to if it happens is another question
