OMO

I've received my new top yoke & risers from Matt at top yokes.
I want to go with the Renthal Medium road bars to get as upright as possible due to my knackered neck.
I didn't get the full kit from Matt as I was advised that it's designed for the low bars so included cables will be too short.

So I'm looking for confirmation that my shopping list for remaining items is correct please:

- Renthal 7/8" Medium Road Bars.
- HEL SV650N brake lines (probably go twin line race setup).
- Bandit 650S 2006 clutch cable. Not sure if VStrom 650 will also fit ?
- Throttle cables. Venhill do a +60mm kit for the SV650S, is +60mm long enough ? Any other/better/cheaper options ?
- Switchgear wiring. I believe Bibio makes 6" wire extenders but I understand he's hibernating :D.
Any other options or does anyone have a link to the connectors/contacts as I could probably make up the looms myself.

Thanks in advance.

Won't Sv650N throttle cable do, instead of the Venhill ones?

Drop Bib a PM, he's just doing other stuff

V strom might be a tad toooooo long. What about the Sv650N clutch cable. Too short?

Wemoto for pattern cables

My previous guidance from Bibio was that the N throttle cables can't be used on an S throttle.

Ok, I'll bow to his superior knowledge as i used them on my curvy, but yours is a pointy.

I got away with using my original cables by simply re-routing them behind the top yoke and down the front of the tank, and I've got really wide bars on mine!

My local garage made custom throttle cables for me for a very good price, go and talk to your local proper bike shop and see what they can make for you.

I used the clutch cable from a V-Strom because my bars are very high, the routing is very smooth and the action is lovely.

If you cannot get hold of switch gear extenders from Darling Bibio, another option is splicing in some extra cable which takes about half an hour and gives you the perfect reach.

I have a thread on here somewhere about how I did a load of custom work to my SV, but I linked the photos from Farcebook and they messed up with stupid farcebook updates. Some pics may work there, but I cannot tell you how many.

Good luck

Thanks Jayne & all previous responders.

I have made contact with Bibio who confirmed the Venhill throttle cables are too short for my application.
He has kindly offered to take some measurements & sort out throttles for me.

Thanks again
