Interesting footage. Bearing in mind that that all involved are probably armed this is brave stuff and the riding high risk to all. Relieved the outcome went the right way. Video of pursuits in the UK was the start of the end for this type of high risk capture here. Maybe rightly. One thing to take from from this.....always do up your chin strap!

I spent the last few years of my career running a specialist intercept team and we resisted installing video recording for just that reason. It would have been dead easy to take a feed from the forward ANPR cameras or even put a software loop into the existing hardware but fortunately for us our bosses were to ignorant of what we did to force the issue, and we worked hard to keep it that way!

I love these videos. I could watch 3 or 4 a year, but alway draw the same conclusion, felons are always faster and fitter runners than the cops. So the police solution is apparently simple - get more cars, more cops and more cameras, or hope the felon falls over.

Gym membership must be too expensive.
