So I was just looking through my docs and found a v5c and the old English reg number DK54 AXF, it was exported from the uk in May or June 2014 it's a black sv650 naked.
Does anyone know it ?

I can tell you that it was last MOT'd 01/10/2013. It had 30,015 on the clock then.

So iv found a add from 15 months ago and the bike is advertised as having 10000kms, so it's had 12000kms since being imported from the uk so at a guess it should be about 40000 miles on it. Safe to say it's been broken in. Is there anything to watch for at such a high mileage it runs just fine now apart from needing a chain and sprocket

This gives you some history of MOTs that have been done, plus advisories etc https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

Very annoying that you've been misled but I wouldn't worry unduly about that mileage.
As you probably don't have much service information (and probably wouldn't trust it anyway) I'd be wanting to give it a good overall service and check-up - particularly checking the valve clearances as they should have been done more than once by now.
Do that now, keep the oil topped up and it may well be good for another 40k.
