I've recently bought this helmet with the Thunder pattern. It has a 4 star Sharp rating, Air pump fit system, pin lock ready & sun visor.
You can also increase the warranty to 3 years when you register it.
Comfort
As with all new helmets its tight on the first fit, even though it is the right size. It starts to ease in after a short amount of time, but still leaves that 'fitting' feel but not digging in.
It also has an air pump which increases the pressure in the cheek pads to help the fit if need be.
On the bike
A Very quiet helmet! This design has been wind tunnel tested and I can definitely tell the difference. My bike does have a screen, but the wind cuts in about shoulder height, so the head is in the 'open'. The visor seals well, no drafts, no turbulence or noise spots and the vents work well.
The chin guard, is a touch on the short side, but does not let a draft escape up the front of the helmet & visor.
Visor
The visor works on a cantilever style hinge, which means it has a very firm & solid movement to it. From about half way down the visor goes straight to close, and creates a very good seal. The visor has 2 lift points, one on each side of the helmet meaning either hand can easily be used to raise it.
It is pinlock ready & has a recess in the visor for it. I've not tested it in cold weather, but no doubt it works as all pinlocks do!
It also has a drop down sun visor. So far it works well and makes a good impact on a low winter Sun.
There is a lever on the left hand side of the helmet that gives you 3 'functions':
Open: allows you to open the visor
Lock: prevents the visor from opening
Vent: cracks open the visor a few mm to allow a light breeze in
Overall
I've only used this for a couple of hours so far, but overall impressed with it. Will see how the test of time treats it & some longer trips for the comfort.
