Hey Guys

I know this is a bit of a generic question, but how many miles roughly before you should replace the OEM steering bearings on a Gladius?

I am asking as I have an issue with the steering on mine, and I have tried everything I can think of to fix it, but nothing has worked so far, so this is my last guess! And unfortunately I have nothing to raise the front wheel off the ground and check the bearings in that way.

It might also be worth noting that it has been used a lot, it has done 15k miles in about 2.5 years, in ALL kinds of weather!

Thanks!

Depends on lots of things but that would be a bit early. Also depends what your problems are?

Depends on how liberal the factory was. Normally not very at all

If you have some strong mates get them to lift it on side stand and check it that way

Just giving you an update.

I changed my steering head bearings, and they were goosed!

Now my steering is silky and smooth, and my Gladius feels like new!

Those stock ball type bearings are pretty terrible!

They're usually fine for many thousands of miles if properly adjusted.

As for nothing to lift it... a chunk of wood and the sidestand works.
