1999 SV650S Very, very yellow. 87,000 miles - but don't let that put you off.
I bought this just over a year ago from a fellow forum member over on PBmag forum, who in turn had bought it from the previous owner on here, as a stop gap whilst I'm waiting on an insurance settlement to be paid out. But in the end it was too good to sell so I hung on to it and I've used it for everything from commuting into London to riding one end of the country to the other in 24hrs and everything in between. I'm only selling it as I fancy something I can do some green-laning on.
It is high mileage but mechanically this bike is spot on - starts on the button with no horrible noises, settles straight away into a steady idle, no smoke or steam, pulls very well and it has been well looked after by the previous owners.
It stops and goes extremely well and runs true with no veering or wobbles when you take your hands off the bars and the suspension feels tight and controlled. Everything works as it should.
Cosmetically it's tatty in places with gaffa tape holding the r/h fairing together around the indicator, but after 86k miles being used in all weathers it looks much, much better than you'd expect.
It's got;
Belly pan
Fuel silencer with baffle
R&G crash bungs
Braking wave front disks & recent pads
Braided hoses
Heated grips
USB supply socket
Double bubble screen
Bar muffs
Front brake lever guard
Aftermarket water temperature gauge
Fender extender
Hagon springs
Hagon shock
Pointy one piece clutch cover
Lightened flywheel
Recent clutch actuator
Recent C&S
Recent Avon tyres
New seat
Scottoiler
Givi rack and huge top box (bolted to rack as light fingered Londoners do like pinching boxes off the monokey system)
Recent cam chain tensioners
Recent clutch service - new hub and plates
I can leave the Givi pannier rack (adapted to fit the SV by my own fair hand) and gert huge panniers on if wanted.
£500 ono without panniers, £700 ono with
