Hi All

Got a Scorpion can off ebay, the can is in good nick but the link pipe has been scuffed and dented. Doesn't look that bad and would probably polish out with effort. The dent however is in the flanged part that will go over the old exhaust. Its not bad but I suspect it will prevent me getting a good fit to the end. Although whichever is the weaker of the two parts joining will probably bend around it.

Just wondering as I can't get anything in there to bash it out would a 2" bit of scaffold pole banged in the end re-shape it, perhaps with a bit of heat to help. Its probably about a 1cm square dent. I can't think of what else I can use to re-shape it.

Cheers

Take it to an exhaust centre they've probably got a tool to flare it out, bike garage may have one

Yea - bang it out yourself

If nothing else it'll justify a purchase of a nice set of hammers

I found an expanding tool on eBay for the job, only issue is it would probably work on a straight pipe but with the bend I doubt I would have enough room to expand it. Perhaps the hammer and pipe is the way to go
