Hi,

Has anyone fitted fork gaiters? I'm looking for a supplier and so far not found anything that looks particularly suitable. I can get gaiters from M&P that are correct at the top (41mm) and might possibly stretch to fit at the bottom, but they're ridiculously long at 350mm. Would appreciate pointer from anyone who's sourced and fitted something suitable.

Thanks, Tony S

gaiters are fine but not entirely maintenance free. the biggest problem with them is that they can let water pool at the bottom which rots your seals. what they do help with is stone chipping so protect the stanchion but they also cause damp, swings and roundabouts. you need to give them a lift now and again, clean with rag and spray fresh chain wax on the stanchion. personally i would only ever have them on a commuter.

try looking at classic bike spares sites for them.

I've got some neoprene ones on my GS.

They work a treat at stopping stone chips and when they get dirty I just wash them.

That looks a possibility, where did you get them?
