Sounds like you've had an off?
Lower fairings in your colour are as rare as mine.

Yep and yep. Frigging ice. What are those little black vent like bits called that go at the join of the upper and lower fairings at the front on a curvy?

The little black air scoops

I wouldn't bother trying to find lowers in your colour, they're so rare, as are the little air scoops.
As you've got the fittings, get some of these, no more expensive than 2nd hand lowers, but made in GRP I think. So much tougher than OEM lowers.
You'll need to get them sprayed, but that's what I had to do when I bought my lowers, silver ones are uber rare, so I got OEM blue ones sprayed.
I'm going to get some of these, as my lowers broke round the rear mount & are impossible to fix

I hope you are well Blapper.
I obtained some lowers for my bike, which are bring sprayed in December. Have you cracked your left lower?

Hi guys, thanks for your wishes. Yeah, just a couple of broken ribs so a few weeks of discomfort and I'll be fine.
sl0th86 has kindly offered me an original front brake lever. I am hoping to pick up some tips on straightening the rear brake lever (in my experience cast ali doesn't like the trip back to straightness). The fairing lower isn't cracked, just got tarmac rash and I have the name of a company somewhere that sells the paint which is very expensive because it is a candy finish so has two parts plus the lacquer.
EDIT: RS Bike Paint - Candy Antares Red £65.50 (!).
I need someone who is brilliant at filling and painting.
Maviczap: Those fairing lowers are still going to need painting so I will stick with the originals thanks.. I've been lucky I suppose, although it doesn't feel like it.

Yep, if yours are only scrsped then no point buying the others.
The paint is scary expensive!
Hope the ribs heal soon, bloomin painful :-(

I know a couple of places up my way who do spraying (he is doing mine on the 7th, with filler too). Not sure if that is of help though Blapper, I can get a quote if you prefer?
I don't have anything other than the brake lever to offer you though.
Oh damn, broken ribs :(. Get well soon mate, your braver than me, I won't go out when the weather is like this :p

Hi Russell,
Annoyingly, I only popped out to warm it up to change the oil for the winter lay-up. Grrrrr!
I'm interested in the R/H front indicator if you're offering? How much do you want for it?
If that is the front brake lever, I think I am sorted for that thanks to sl0th86. If it is a rear, I'm interested for sure.
Where is 'your way'? I'm a southern softie (!). Here is a snap of the tarmac rash:

That is exactly what the lowers I bought look like, except they had grout all over them because some grandchildren decided to 'Paint them' :p
I have done the winder oil and filter, along with plugs myself. I'll have a look for them first and let you know mate.
I'm based in South Yorkshire (Doncaster Area) I'm sending off my panels on the 7th so will let you know how they come out. But they have exactly the same battlescars, except without the air ducts.

Thanks to Russell664, nutzboutbikes and sl0th86 I have a front brake lever, indicator and airscoop. Now I just need a rear brake lever and recommendations for people that can fill, sand and paint the fairing lower back to perfect again.
Thanks guys, I do appreciate your help.

Folding rear brake lever on the way, anybody any ideas for a good body shop?
Folding rear brake lever on the way, anybody any ideas for a good body shop?
Careful with these, I couldn't find any that lined up properly with the master cylinder ....if your's is a good fit if you wouldn't letting me know where it came from I'd be grateful.

Hi Dipper
My folding lever came from eBay and cost £32 delivered.
It fits, but has the following problems: Listed as for an SV650/S it is actually a 'universal fit' item (that's code for doesn't fit anything properly). It has a couple of kinks in it which the original doesn't and so it needlessly swerves away from the engine, plus - and most importantly - it has a cast feature which projects inwards to take the return and rear brake light springs which is wrong for the rear brake light as it is too low causing the spring to be under too much tension and so the light is on all the time.
In short, it will do at a pinch if you don't want a rear brake light, but I'm sending it back.
