January Photo Competition - Monochrome VOTE OFF!

Many thanks for the votes, close one this month. Yokohama & myself have deliberated & cogitated & have come to a mutual (well, Yokohama had the idea & I thought it was a really good one :)) plan of Monochrome (Black & White to us commoners)
It can be taken in B&W, or photoshopped. This leaves a wide variety of pictures to be included.

Really tough choice this month - well done all.

Really love the simplicity of the web in SVBMX's shot, elegant and leads the eye nicely.
LPH's shot has so much detail and clarity, and that bird has some cracking attitude on display.

My vote however goes to Daktulos. The light balances and dynamic range may well have been enhanced in Lightroom (my guess) but it has a great presence and lots to explore.
