Is there any secret method to getting a front sprocket nut off? Tried everything! Even took it to a bike garage and he put his gun on it and wouldnt budge, had a go at it with a big bar and no luck! He mentioned heating it up and having another go but will it damage the oil seal? Any tips would be appreciated!

Known methods include: (Not necessarily recommended tho, but if desperate)
To lock the chain movement, big bar thru back wheel OR wrapping the chain around the rear axle with the wheel removed and a screw driver poked thru the links to take up the slack.
To shift the nut, a long ring spanner which can be swung on whilst a hammer applies some shock to the nut itself.
I've only had to do the bar thru wheel and someone stood on back brake, with long torque wrench myself. I guess mine were looser!
