I've been trying for a couple of days to get on the forum and the Admin have helped after a post so here I am :)

I've been riding Motorcycles on-and off since I was 17.Had a long long break.Stupid me but in 2004 got back into riding after buying a,"Plastic Maggot" off a M8.Got into them big time and have run two that I've re-built from the crankshaft up.However around 18 months ago the one on the road got stolen and ridden and trashed<they set fire to it>from the back of my house. The got over and bolt cropped the padlocks on the Car-port/double doors.Ok it's cheap double door carport as I'm a Council estate guy.
Security has been improved ;-)

Even though Carol Nash paid out I wasn't getting much work(Basically self-employed) so didn't bother putting the other CX I have in the garage back on the road(Needs and engine swap, have engine ready) due to lack of funds.Missed the 2016 riding.

Things have picked up this year and I wanted something less than 37 years old bike and one with more oomph<grin> and have had a hankering for an SV650.I love me V-Twins.

Two weeks ago I was working in Germany and had already spotted a Naked SV650 that looked the job.I tried me M8's SV650S and with old-age shoulder problem and a little back trouble I couldn't live with the low riding position but loved the engine and bike, hence the,"Sit-Up-And-Beg" naked I'm used to.

Did the deal with M&S Motorcycles in Newcastle and,"Barry" let me buy it with free delivery. All communications with M&S and their service was superb.Bike delivered in superb condition as per their photos for £1595.

The bike is almost,"Showroom" condition for it's age.Starts first time on the button, sounds sweet. Not on the road yet.Doing mods.

Sorry if this it a little long winded but I've been waiting a couple of days to post<grin> :smt101

Nice story (except for the theft bit) and Nice SV. Welcome to the forum.

I had a bike knicked, thrashed and burnt, turned out it was kids. The old bill couldn't be arsed so I investigated myself and handed the case to the old bill so all they had to do was nick him. Little bu**er got a spell in borstal. I loved that.

Glad you got em'.I got paid out by the insurance but the coppers couldn't care less around here so I let it go.Heard on the local grapevine some not good things happened to the possible thief so as the Americans say,"What goes round comes round" :D

I've upped my security and this bike has two disc locks on it(Including a double locking one) and I've just fitted a cheap but excellent Alarm(Cyclone).Bargain and easy to fit.
