Hello all! After a couple years on my gsxr I decided to sell it and get another sv for some fun run outs and work commutes, picked this up today and have to say I missed riding these things! Delighted with the bike so far, missed the v-twin!, previous owner kept this thing nice and tidy.

Anyway, hopefully there are no issues found with it as it is an 03, so gonna probably stick it in for a service straight away to make sure it's all good. Happy so far though!

Couple pics added.

I'm new to the SV650 but so far mine has been brilliant.Just so easy to ride and control with oomph where it needs it and of course there's something special about a V-Twin exhaust note loud or quiet :D

That looks stunning in white! been thinking of getting a double bubble too, is that a Chinese Ebay one or an expensive job? I was thinking of trying a £12 Chinese one

Go for it Dom.I've had loads of cheap Chinese stuff off eBay over the years and it's all worked.Yeh I've had to fettle a bit here and there but for the price it's always worth a punt IMHO and I've seen your skills on here so no probs :)

China, like Taiwan and Japan before, has had to and inevitably upped their QC.

I couldn't find any UK or Euro hand-guards I could use but found some cheap Chinese ones that have worked out perfectly.Yeh I had to wait 2 weeks plus but what the hell :p

Thanks guys, yeah it's really nice in white, stands out well I think.

Think it's a genuine Dom, I bought a cheaper one for my old SV and had a few issues fitting it if I remember as the holes didn't align exactly right. But things may have improved nowadays, but not sure, it's always a risk but for 12 quid it may be worth a punt.

On a couple of occasions some small things didn't arrive.I always got refunded so no biggy :)

I'm awaiting a £0.99 pence Temp gauge. It's just a,"Farkle"(I think that's from my USA forums and means something you don't really need but just want).I miss having a Temp gauge on my SV.My old CX500s had a nice one.I even made a replacement voltage replacement unit for pennies when the original broke down using an LED bulb and IC chip as one of the CX guys(Reg) came up with the fix :D

http://cx500forum.com/forum/technical-help-forum/1834-temperature-gauge-voltage-regulator.html

But from what I have seen and experienced on my SV so far the cooling system is way more efficient than my old CX500s and I am a,"Zen Master" on CX500 liquid cooled engines<grin> :smt032

These are the ones but these are UK based now I think and I bought a lot of little stuff off eBay at that time so mine might not have been from a Chinese vendor.I like the reflective strips on them as well :)

They don't look that bad to me and do keep the wind off the hands. They come with their own plastic bar-ends and better Allen screws than were on my SV650 X so I used the new screws but with the heavy bar-end weights that were already on the bike.I did have to fettle the clutch side little bracket they came with as the rounded end of the bracket stopped it fitting right to get the Clutch lever nut on but only took a min with my angle grinder/file.

The Ad says they are for Harleys but they are 7/8"(22mm) which is our bar size.Harleys use 1" diameter bars :)

how does the wolf exhaust sound on it? im possibly going to look at a pointy SV to replace my curvy and it has the same exhaust.

Had one on my old one and sounds just like I remember, Sounds great and has a good rumble. My missus has complimented/complained how it is better than her alarm clock. :)

That is my only issue with my 1999 Curvy. It's too quiet.Ain't got the spare dosh at the moment to change it and also I would most likely have to pay the,"£35" extra to ,"Bennets" on top of the mod to get a better noise.
However in saying that when I do whack the throttle I can hear the,"Little Demon" in there :smt040

I love that Yellow on the SVs,especially with the small fairing.Because of a now fixed buy dodgy shoulder I went for a Naked Standard bar version as that's my style but all styles are great to me including the fully faired ones :)

I prefer the naked SVs, was looking for one but this came up so cheap i just went for it.

Funny old World.I got mine from M&S Motorcycles from around where you are :)

I've been more than happy as it was as good as advertized.I paid £1595 for mine with 16k on it and free delivery(It was bought on my Birthday so,"Barry" was nice to me). It's been exceptionally well maintained and came with a full MOT and even has the original Suzuki handbook! :p

Mine was sold by M&S Motorcycles in the past as it has one of there number plates on.

With the SV650 you get so much bike for so little money.
