View Full Version : Oil change problem
Bit of a school boy error this but set about draining the oil on my sv thinking 'oh I've got enough oil left over from the last change' only to find I haven't quite. What I had was 2ltrs of motul 5100 so not quite there, I do however have a litre of motul 5000 which I believe isn't fully synthetic like 5000. Ok to mix it to get me to full or am I going to have to do a 40mile round trip to get more?
Sorry for this question but searching didn't quite answer it.

yup they will mix no problem. almost every single motorcycle oil available today will mix with any other be it synth or semi.

There is no problem mixing synthetic and semi-synth oil, you just end up with better semi-synth

I knew I could count on you to answer Lance! Shame to waste 1ltr of oil too.
