Hey guys, i hope all is well

Ive been reading up on different mods/ alterations people have done to their bikes and have come across the famous PAIR system. I know that the 2nd gen onwards have them as standard but my question is, does the 1st gen have one fitted or an equivalent system being that they are carb’d? Probably a noob question but im still exploring the possibilities of tinkering with whatever i can find

Cheers, Jake.

yes they do but not like the pointy.

there is no point it removing it unless you want to eliminate the weight of the 2nd air valve and its components.

removing it wont give you more horses, in fact it will just dump excess unburnt petrol into the exhaust system causing harm to the noise wadding in your can.

I've got K5 cylinder heads on mine, they have a little box that pipes the rocker box air to the exhaust ports (just before the headers attach) via a diaphragm or something, I think the idea is the vacuum on overrun pulls air in to burn off excess fuel and CO. Anyway it's too bulky to fit a curvy frame so i blanked them off.

The title of the Pair System section of my Haynes leads me to believe the UK 1999/02 Curvys may not have one ?
