Guessing this has been covered before but I can't find it, haynes manual says ytx12 for the curvy but it is too tall, is the haynes wrong? Or is it possible to make it fit?

Ta in advance

The ytx12 designation only really gives the Amp hours ratings. In this case 12aH.Some Battery maker's dimensions differ.

I like MotoBatt batteries but haven't need to fit a new battery to my Curvy yet,

Some people don't like the Motobatt terminal system but it doesn't bother me.

Best advice is to write down the dimensions of your present battery and then you can be sure.

When my present battery gives out I may take a punt on one of these dead cheap ones,

But I have a USB Starter booster pack in case of emergency as well,

Have a look in the offers and services section above.^ ^
We used to get a discount with MDS batteries by mentioning SV org and they sell the correct Yuasa battery for the curvy. I bought one a good few years ago from them.No problems at all.Local to me and I rode in and they fitted it then and there but free delivery to you out in the sticks.
