Found rattling around inside my tank...

Does your low fuel light still work? My guess would be it's part of the sender unit that has broken off but as I've never had to remove/inspect one I cannot be sure.

So in prepping the tank for painting I detached the fuel filler cap, fuel level gauge and fuel **** assembly, and none of those seem to have this piece missing.

what **** sucking **** head decided on that filter?
As it's smaller than the filler hole, I suspect it could have dropped in there by accident - perhaps from a set of keys.

It’s not from anything on my keys
Maybe it was in there since before I bought it (only got the bike in Jan)
Ah well... bike runs fine and nothing seems to be missing
