Ive got a problem with my low beam, its not working on either side but sidelights and main beam works. Ive looked at other threads and alot of people are saying its the white connector block which needs cleaning or may have burnt out. The bulbs and fine the fuses are fine ive checked the connector block and all looks fine, i cleaned it up but still not working. Not sure what else to check. Thanks in advance

When you say the white connector block is fine do you mean the 3 pin connector on the back of the bulb? Also Do you mean fine as in there is 12 Volts on the dip beam socket? How are you testing for fine? With a multi meter or just visually?
The only bit you haven't mentioned is the switch. They can get a build up of crud that can cause electrical faults.

IIRC the main and dip beams have separate fuses in fusebox, also because of twin headlamps and higher current draw (about 10 amps) your bike may have a relay that switches between dip and main.

No the 6 pin connector that does the indicators aswell. Ive only visually looked and cleaned it but havent got a multi meter so cant test the voltage. Ill have a look at the switch, but might be worth me getting a multi meter to check the voltage.

Yeah i think the relay is under the seat so will have a look if theres any loose connections

Alot of poeple on the other threads and by passed the low beam wire which is what ive just done and still not working. Where would the grounds be for the headlight as i can trace the wires back

I would imagine it is a common ground wire for both filaments.

Do you know where that is as i cant find it anywhere looked in haynes manual and dont understand the wiring diagrams lol

Earth wire is black and white, you can check by looking what colour wire goes to the larger blade on the bulb (the one at 90deg to other two ).
At bottom LH of diagram you will see 'dimmer switch' shown, this is the handlebar switch that switches from dip to main beam (the switch positions
are marker 'hi' and 'lo' for main and dip) - follow yellow and green wires on the diagram (not that colour on your bike though, just highlighted for
ease of reading on the diagram).

Thank you, will have a search around

Earths are all good. I think im going to get a multi meter and test the resistance but where do i test resistance between? Thinking it may be the switches.

I have had success with a 12volt bulb with two wires soldered on and then wrapped in insulation tape (to prevent any short circuit). Ground the one wire and wrap other end (or solder) safety pin onto it, now you can go around touching connection or sticking pin through insulation on wires (means you can test with plugs still plugged in) until you find a place where bulb is either dim or does not light up. A 21watt bulb (indicator bulb) will draw best part of 2 amps so will find high resistance contacts by not lighting up very well. This is cheaper than a multimeter.

Borrowed a mates multi meter and dont a beep test between the switch and headlight connector, high beam was beeping low beam wasnt. Chekced from fuse to switch and high beam was beeping but low beam wasnt. The fuse is fine for low beam and i swapped it with high beam but still the same results. I dont know what else to check for. Might end up taking it to a garage or is there any other things to check or test

Looks like low beam contact inside switch is fubar, probably because low beam is on 99% of the time and it gets most use.

Oh right, im guessing thats a new switch that needs ordering then

Might be worth dismantling the switch and inspecting/cleaning the contacts first. You can buy specific electrical contact cleaner from Maplin or RS components or similar, you could also use ACF50.
This guy strips the switch on a Burgman, they're are all similar though:

There isn't too much that can go wrong: corrosion on contacts, solder joint broken (both fixable), broken plastic parts (only fixable if you have the patience of a saint).
There are lots of switches on ebay too.
Yeah i did dismantle the switch and cleaned it all up but still no luck. Today though i noticed one of my indicators arent working and wiggles the relay around and it goes on and off so think it could be the relay so ordered a new one and will try that out.

Indicators are designed to go on and off

I meant the power to the indicator was going on and off like a loose connection not signaling on and off like its meant to

Just an update and maybe help for anyone else who has this problem in the future. I found the culprit, had to take the airbox off and the yellow connector block just above radiator which has all the headlight wiring, horn and indicator wiring in, the low beam wire pin had burnt out so cut the wire either side of the block and rejoined using bullet connectors and all up and running again.

Thanks for the update, because the dipped bulbs are on majority of the time the wiring is always under load.
