Hi,

Long story short, my chain snapped on my SV1000 K7 Classic and has cracked the crank case. No way to repair the engine so I'm looking to break the bike to try and recover some of my costs in it.

I will be breaking it down slowly but surely, if you are after any spares (I will have pretty much everything to sell on it) then let me know and I will let you know before I put it on eBay. I'm happy to undercut the value of similar parts on eBay by a fraction but can't afford to drop the price(s) too low.

Thanks.

Sometimes crankcases can either be welded or repaired with compounds e.g. Belzona.
Just depends how much time/effort/money you want to put in getting the repair done.

Yeah I was hopeful that it could be so I showed it to my local mechanic to get his opinion and he said it was a no go. I know I could strip the engine down and rebuild it with a new crank case but I'm not willing to sink that much time into it if I'm honest. I would rather move the parts on and look to getting another bike.

Hi,
I have a SV650 k5, and i ended up dropping it. so i was wondering if you still have the rear brake pedal (do you think this will fit?), crash bungs and end can?

Thank you,
Alvin

I'd be interested in taking the airbox.

Thanks
Denis.
