...by which was the first "Now That's What I Call Music" CD you bought.
Since I'm very old, I bought #2 on a vinyl LP (I wasn't keen on the music on the first one, that didn't have a number). They have just released #100 apparently.

My younger brother had #2 on vinyl as I recall. Don't think I ever had any myself.

Had Now 4, 6 & 9 on double cassette! 6 had some terrific tracks on it, think it came out not long after Live Aid and lot of acts that either did/didn't appear upped their game.

Never bought one.
I'm old enough to remember the cheap and nasty "Top Of The Pops" compilation albums which didn't have the original artists on them.
Can't think why I remember them... https://www.google.com/search?q=top+of+the+pops+album+covers&hl=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa

That moment you realize you live on the other side of the planet.
Not a clue.
(I wonder if this is what it feels like to be a Trump supporter?)

...meaning you don't remember which number you bought or you didn't know the "Now that's what I call Music" CD existed?
I didn't know they existed.
However they would have been albums or cassettes for me to remember them.
We had something similar, put out by a company called K-tel records.
