According to the internet (yeah right) Banksy said,

“Graffiti is one of the few tools you have if you have almost nothing. And even if you don't come up with a picture to cure world poverty you can make someone smile while they're having a p***.”

So let's see your graffiti pictures whether they're banal,

dark and moody,

striking,

or just plain off the wall.

This one is a few years old, but spotted in Southampton. I don't take graffiti shots often. Added border on my phone at the time. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190203/403ca65f3f3b7b40b0afa7baf8a1a7a4.jpg

The Duke Of Lancaster Ship. Moored near Rhyl North Wales. The Grafitti has now gone as it has now been painted black by the owner.

Mine is very different.

In 1902 several members of the visiting Australian cricket team including Victor Trumper and Warwick Armstrong carved their names into the terracotta on the balcony at Lord's in what was then the dressing room. Well over 100 years later they can still be seen. In fact the first signatures date from 1893.

They may not be as colourful or impressive as some of the images here, but they are of historical significance and have really stood the test of time against the elements.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190205/5c41923b661236c130427966d3fbd2ab.jpg

Mine is very unlikely to be a Banksy but it is clearly in the style of. Taken a few years ago but it's still up on the wall beside the skate park in Wycombe, although it is a bit more faded these days.

LPH too. The literal meaning of the word graffiti.. to scratch. And a good bit of history too.
