...well, ok, it might be considered an oil thread.

For those of you that use synthetic oil (no debates please) and of those that like Castrol Power1 Racing 10/40 motorcycle oil (I'm not judging), then Sportsbikeshop are selling 4 litres for £29.41 with free shipping. (13July2019)

This is only about price for a specific product not a consideration of your use of virgin olive oil in your SV and I accept that it if it was good enough for your Dad and his Dad before him then it's good enough for you. (You do realise that a lot of virgin olive oil is counterfeit, just saying...) ;)

... oh no, you have lit the blue touch paper of the oil argument again.

Now this will run for weeks until the embers die down again, people will go off on tangents, someone will say that only oil that costs £76/litre is good enough, someone else will say I’m stupid for using supermarket 10/40 bought when it is on sale in my bikes ...

as long as it meets the oil specification your bike needs, then it's fine. everything else is just preference.

I use Oil Of Ulay. Keeps the bike looking younger.

Baby oil is the cheapest, best freshly squeezed from babies

Olive Oyl works best with a bit of Popeye in it.
