Mav, don't be a stranger here just because you are (temporarily) bikeless. This is more than a bike forum. You know you will always get help and support from us here in all sorts of ways. Keep going matey, we're here for you.

I won't Gary, I know how good the Org can be when you're down. Strange times, and at the moment I'm at sea without a paddle.

I got divorced 19 years ago. It's a tumultuous time and I went for long periods with no optimism for the future. It will get better, I promise. My manager was a Jew from Chile (we worked for an Israeli company) and he wouldn't let me make any big life-changing decisions (I was in California and was talking about returning to the UK). He basically told me that I wasn't thinking straight and to wait for 6 months. He was right, it can be very hard to think rationally when your emotions are all over the place, but talk to people, don't wall yourself off, it can be tempting to do so.

I wish you all the best.

Well said Gary, this place and its members have saved me from myself and done more for me than I could put into words :)

Sorry to hear this. I hope you are still able to get out on two wheels albeit without a motor

Yep, although I'll be thinning that fleet down as well :(

Haven't ridden since coming back from France, although the weather hasn't helped

Bye bye Sv, one new excited owner.

Slightly sad old owner, but one thing less to worry about having to sell, but the new owner was genuinely excited about having it, so that makes me happy

Crazy kid in trainers Gary, he was probably as excited as I was when I picked it up :-)

Mmm, hope he spends a bit of money on some sensible footwear! Mind you, I think back to what I rode my bikes in when I started out...</shudder>.

Him and his mate reminded me of some of my mates from the 80's. :-)

Ooer, I think back to my mates from the 70s and 80s and I wonder how any of us are still alive! Actually quite a few aren't, although that wasn't all motorcycling casualties. But that's another story entirely....
