I often stop by the jalopnik website, I'm not really into cars although I like to see what's going on; it's often fantasyland.

Here's one example:

This car has 1479hp and another four digits worth of torque. I can't afford one even without knowing the price, I know that, my problem would be if I could because at some point I'd wonder: "what will it do?" Quickly followed by: "there goes my license".

Would you be able to resist?

On reflection, I guess this is why I no longer buy big bikes, I know I have limited willpower. (my last speeding ticket was on a 900 Hornet/919 in the US, the officer didn't accept my lack of willpower as a valid excuse)

These vehicles are certainly amazing from an engineering perspective but apart from the few people with a fortune made in the oil business that like wasting their money on mine's-bigger-than-yours penis extensions they are meaningless in the real world. I'll to my Focus for now.

1479hp is quite alot really. :)

My Citroen 2CV had 1450hp less than that and I still saw about 75 on the clock regularly.

That's definitely why I no longer buy big bikes (or pretty much anything with a four cylinder engine).
