Now that Tyre has gone down the subscription route, what do you use for planning routes and downloading them to the SatNav?

Any recommendations of good apps/programs to use?

Ridewithgps for both Garmin Zumo and my cycling one.

Well that's a pain, was looking to use Tyre for our trip next year.

tyre has not gone down the subscription route, in fact its the opposite and is donate ware but this time with no nag bar on the left. MyRoute-app is an alternative but i dont like it, you will need to register to use it.

for tyre to work you must get a google apps key this is a subscription with your bank details but you would have to use tyre 100's of times a day to pay anything. you also have to remember to update your google project account every year.

there is a tutorial on the tyre site.

i done it and tyre is working just fine as of 8.0.

My copy of Tyre is still working too and I've not given any card details. Not sure if it means I have an out of date map or anything but it has not tried to update recently which it used to do every time I went in there. Seem to recall I had some lifetime membership thing that came with my TomTom.
