As we're all locked up in fear of the 'rona, how about this for a subject. As ever, interpret it whatever way you want, but as you can guess, trawling your shoeboxes is a distinct possibility here. Don't worry about quality, find a pic and take a pic of it if that's all you have access to. Funny, poignant, esoteric, whatever you want. I'll try to find some examples, but you know, I'm sure you can do it just fine on your own.

Taken in the Pyrenees on a trip through France and into Spain on my old BSA M21, in about 1989. Rode down with the chap in the picture who I met on the ferry where we realised we were headed the same way.

My first bike Suzuki TS125R, those tyres were crap. I sold it to buy my first car. A few years later a guy down the road bought it and sadly I think they crashed it.

I had something similar, but a TZ. I don't know if I have any photos and there's a big dusty box of them to go though

I spent a morning rummaging through an old photo box while waiting for the rain to stop. Too many dusty old memories in there. I couldn't find the old Suzuki trailie I learnt on but here's my first 'big' bike.

Me at the top of the Col d'Izoard on my first bike. We had just been kayaking the Triple Step section of the Guil and I took a detour on the way back to camp. Almost made a hash of that as you can see from the dull light, it was getting late in the day and the Izoard was not one for riding at night.

This was my first trip to France on the bike, which I combined with a kayaking trip. I persuaded a friend to take my boat and kit in his car while I went by bike. I stayed on for a further week after to ride around France a bit.

Let me know if its not visible.

Taken with an Fuji APS camera, using a remote control thingy.

Voting time I think folks.

Close one this but I think Yokohama gets my vote with Mav in there as a very close second.

It’s a tie between Mav and Yokohama - well done chaps. Do you want to collaborate on the next theme?

Cheers Gary. Mav and I have put our heads together and this month's theme will be up shortly.
