Bar end mirrors

In this time of having nothing better to do and spending far too much time on the internet.

Ended up purchasing some bar end mirrors, as I wasn't sure if the look or what they are like in everyday use so got some cheap ones of the bay of e.

The bar end attachment is non-standard on MT09 but made a spacer from an old bit of curtain rail and they fit ok.

So what are your thoughts on the look, I'd prefer your collective wisdom as the Yamaha forums seen to be full of 'mercans with "sweet dude" or "badass" as standard replies.

I had bar end mirrors on my Street Triple, but mainly as I found the regular ones to be useless to see anything in. They worked well. Annoyed me that they constantly needed adjusting and were not easy to adjust. No good for hanging a helmet over which I like to be able to do. They looked good though, functioned well and could be folded in easily. I had mine flipped so they pointed inwards instead of out and I know a lot of people use them flipped downwards so you're looking under the bars.
From the point of view of sitting on the bike I think they clean up your field of view a lot on a naked bike and aesthetically work well.

Had an essential journey to make, thermometer broke, so went out to get a new one.

Good point in the helmet storage, hadn't considered that but I usually hang it from the chin strap so it should still work.

They are now fat end out [emoji106] can see a bit more now, but I don't think they look as nice that way round. Tried under bar first but couldn't see past my forearms.

Edit: Slightly less field of view than stock, but these are flat mirrors and really cheap (more to assess position than a final solution). More expensive ones are slightly convex.
No vibration and steady at dual carriageway speeds.

I had genuine Triumph ones and they were very good.

They definitely look better than the stock mirrors on the MT09. Cool rather than badass
I had bar ends on my SV, round ones so I didn't have to fret about which way round to put them. They looked good and worked fine.
I considered bar ends for my XSR but went for the cheaper riser/extender option, which has made a world of difference to the view. One thing I have noticed is that now the mirrors are higher, an eye glance is all I need. With the smaller bar ends, it was move head down and refocus on the tiny 3 inch circles at the end of the bar. Maybe only milliseconds in it but for me, the bar ends mean that when checking behind, your eyes are off the road for just that bit longer.
