He's at it again, now he's a medical expert:

"Supposing we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked but you’re going to test it. Supposing you brought the light inside of the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too. Sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute. And is there a way we can do something, by an injection inside or almost a cleaning? It would be interesting to check that. That you’re gonna have to use medical doctors with." (Donald J Trump April 2020)

The leader of the free world is suggesting that putting a powerful light inside your body or by injecting yourself with disinfectant might cure the Covid 19 virus.

I reckon he never really expected or wanted to win the election and he is just making sure it doesnt happen again. On the other hand he may have overestimated the good ol red neck electorate and its grip on reality

Trump is not a stupid man. why cant people see the funny side of his antics. yes he is the president of america but do you honestly think he makes the decisions? ermm no its the people you dont vote for that do that and the puppets just spin it so it sounds good to the public.

if you want stupid you just have to remember Bush Jr or Reagan to name two.

I disagree on that, you need to look up the Dunning-Kruger effect. The only funny part is what moronic thing he will say next - but it's not intentional, he's not that clever. When he departs from the auto-cues his speeches are frequently incoherent ramblings as he drifts from subject to subject.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect

I will give you that he is a shrewd, unethical businessman, he successfully transferred vast amounts of debt into his casinos before bankrupting them (and wiping out the debt). He has so manipulated DeutscheBank that they are virtually trapped into loaning him money. He owes a Chinese bank $200million which is due next year. So, yes he's good at screwing money out of people. His technique with contractors was to get the work done, refuse to pay, threaten them with legal action and then offer to pay 10 cents on the dollar. You see the same thought processes with his trade sanctions in his attempts to get better deals for the US.

Most people know about the failure of the casinos but there was also:
1 ) Trump University
2 ) Trump steaks
3 ) Trump airline
4 ) Trump beverages (spring water)
5 ) Trump magazine
6 ) Trump vodka
7 ) Trump travel
8 ) Trump mortgage
all failed

On the other hand, his daily intelligence briefings had to be cut from 10-12 pages, to 1 page to 3 bullet points because he has no attention span. He prefers pictures to words and is poor at assimilating information from the written word.

He constantly claims (via gut feelings) that he knows more than the experts. He's told 16241 lies/falsehoods since being made President according to the Washington Post https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/01/20/president-trump-made-16241-false-or-misleading-claims-his-first-three-years/

He is a snake oil salesman that has become a cult leader.

Unfortunately the funny side of him causes those with a low IQ to take those remarks seriously. Because he is the leader of their country and therefore his advice must be true/real otherwise he wouldn't say it.
Hopefully through this Pandemic people have seen how inept he is and the see through puppeteering that goes on. How different would this have been dealt with if Obama was still in charge . . . .

I agree, just like it is the civil service in UK that are un-elected and do not change between governments that run UK Plc... Yes Minister is nearer the truth than most people realise.

Unfortunately the funny side of him causes those with a low IQ to take those remarks seriously. .

I presume these are similar to the people of low IQ in UK who voted to leave EU ? ( according to some anyway, who are tremendously clever with a very high IQ ).

I think you're missing the point. The President of the USA suggested that injecting disinfectant into your body may cure the virus.
He backpedaled later to say it was sarcasm but listen to his speech and see if it sounded like a joke (speech:https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-52407177)

Some Americans did listen and this happened:
https://thehill.com/changing-america/well-being/prevention-cures/494548-maryland-emergency-hotline-receives-more-than

and this: https://i.redd.it/7lsvymkbfyu41.jpg

These people may have been idiots but the President was holding a conference on the state of the virus within the US. Even if it was a joke, was it appropriate? He did the same thing with hydroxychloroquine (the malaria/lupus drug) by advocating its widespread use and its side effects are killing people - he no longer mentions it.

The White House (informants) are saying that he doesn't like listening to experts (especially female experts) and trusts his gut over their advice. State governors have to flatter him if they want a shipment from the Federal medical stockpile (and they need to be a Republican state to get the full amount they asked for).

No.

Leave EU is done and dusted, no point harping on about it. I don't agree with the result, but we live in a Democracy and we live with the result of what the majority decided. No one ever said you can't rejoin it . . . . but you can't un-inject detergents from your body.

Once we claim to know what people are thinking when they say stuff we are as bad as the thought Police - the same ones that were given a right telling off by that high court judge not so long ago... Trump started tweeting because he could not trust the media ( who can ) and preferred to get messages out in ways they could not mangle and put spin on, IMHO he has his tongue firmly in his cheek a lot of the time ( oh no, I am becoming a thought police person ).

So we pretend the White House doesn't publish its own statements that is widely available to the public, So therefor he must tweet . . . .

He's a child who doesn't understand the role he has nor the responsibilities it comes with. Clearly displayed by his outburst last week saying the President has the final say on everything . . . .

He is the president of a country. Speeches and responses on any Political issue should not be tongue in cheek.

Eggszackerly......

For too long people have been nannied and wrapped in cotton wool and protected from the result of their actions, they need to learn that stupidity has consequences.

You can tell someone not to touch an electric wire until you are blue in the face, and they will still do it, but once they do it they are either dead or much wiser and either way won't do it again.. people rarely if ever learn from the experience of others, they have to learn from their own.
