Hi,

I have attached a photograph of the screen currently fitted to my 2000 SV650S. It's not completely clear like those I have seen on other bikes, so I am presuming this is an aftermarket screen.

Does my SV650S already have a touring screen installed?

If it isn't, I am considering one to minimise the wind noise and buffeting I experience. If I try to tuck behind the existing screen, I just get a deafening roar of wind noise. I am hoping a touring screen will mitigate all of this.

Are there any recommended touring screens?

Thanks,

Can you post a pic from the side? The black bit does scream aftermarket. If it's anything like the stock screen, it just directs a blast of wind at your chest. Double bubble screens can be very effective (and the wrong ones can be worse than before), the best one for the curvy is probably the Fabbri one which I have, assuming you can still get it.

Looks like a single curve sort of thing. I've just tried searching for Fabbri screens and they're not so easy to find. Do a search of the forum though and you will find recommendations (that's what I did). Good wind protection is a lot more than just a taller screen.
