Trump's campaign has released a poster asking people to "Support our Troops". It shows silhouetted soldiers being overflown by fighter aircraft. Very patriotic.
Only the aircraft are MIG29s
Here's the poster from the "Politico" website.

That's quite tragic. But funny.

Its also scarily reminiscent of Nazi posters.

We always knew Trump was Putin's stooge. I suspect our government is too.
Its also scarily reminiscent of Nazi posters.
Watched a series recently about the evolution of politics of Germany in the 1930s. The really scary thing is that the insidious use of propaganda and the manipulation of public opinion, and how undesirable fringe groups set the agenda only to be superseded by a legitimate "respectable" political party which scoops up considerable public support, appears to be repeated across the world right up to the present day. The back-room manipulators and the tools they use are almost identical in the most surprising cases.
We make the same mistakes if we don't learn from history. It's all about political groups persuading "us" that they can solve our problems by getting rid of "them". Divide and rule.
i see that poster for what it is. showing troops being harassed by enemy fighter planes. so the mig is appropriate as Russia sells to other country's such as those in the middle east.
support out TROOPS not airforce is the slogan.

Or perhaps given one of the troops is carrying an AK47 the poster is intended to depict the advance of Eastern bloc military power and is a rallying cry to do something about it? It's all rubbish anyhow, just propaganda put about to divert public attention away from the problems they face nearer home......
