...toilet paper usage around the world.

Disclaimer: I live alone. I realise that ladies need more paper but, at the risk of TMI, I use 1 roll every 3 months which means I'm falling behind (!) by 77 rolls. I need to up my game.

I now see why there was mass panic buying of toilet rolls pre-lockdown.

Women tend to use toilet roll for a lot of things, including make-up removal, but one roll lasts me 3 to 4 weeks. Thing is women use toilet roll every time they visit the bathroom but blokes probably once maybe twice a day. Average roll is 200 sheets - if you buy thinner cheaper stuff you just need 2 or 3 times as much. So decent quality stuff say 8 sheets a day for a bloke = 25 days.
