Just to make you aware the National M/cycle museum has had 'hardship' funding refused, so to try and stay solvent they are holding a raffle, the prizes are one of three bikes (First second and third prizes) Top prize a Norton Commando not ridden. Tickets £6 each further details on their website

Any of the prizes would be a real pleasure to own imo, I will definately be entering the draw.
Having said that ... it is a real shame the prize (whichever it is) had to leave the museum, I would (if I won any of the three) entrust it to the museum so as not to deprive future visitors of seeing it.
It would technically belong to me but would live at the museum. I literally have nowhere to keep such fantastic bikes so would make sense.

I think that's what a lot of people would do. Own it but keep it there for people to enjoy. I can't imagine anyone would want to win an unridden Norton and then use it to ride.
