It's been a terrible year with far too few opportunities to get out and take photos, but I thought it might be nice to post our favourite photo of the year to remind ourselves that it wasn't a complete write-off.
Here's mine: between lock-downs, ATW managed to get one cross-country race in. I took some photos of club-mates (blue/yellow in the photo) ... a great place to capture the action (jumping a stream), but I did start to feel a bit guilty after a while.

This was mine, didn't get out much but despite being a crappy year it still had its good moments!

I'd say one of these 2 - mainly because they're from the same bike trip in the Highlands.
I didn't enjoy the trip as much as i could have done, due to some issues that happened whilst i was away. But looking back at the videos & pictures i can certainly reflect on it better.

Is that picture taken in Verulamium Park?

No - it was at Merchant Taylors' School, near Watford.

Ha, I know that place even better! Have played cricket and hockey there numerous times.….

One that I've posted here before but it reminds me of finding the moments of freedom amidst the increasing lack of it throughout this year. Missing the CRF now a bit too. Should I have sold it? Hmmm... need a bigger garage....

I didn't actually take this one, but it instantly reminds me of a great day riding in Wales in July with the Border Patrol orgers.
Just after we went through Staylittle, a tiny village, we passed this house and chapel and I was so gobsmacked I nearly lost control of the bike. It was the main location for the first episode in series 3 of Hinterland / Y Gwll, the Welsh noir crime drama.

It's the mangy fox in the grounds of Trev Towers for me. Stuck at home for so much of the year means I have so few pics from nice days out compared to shots from the grounds.
Plus it reminds me how good the IQ is on my new Sony.

One of my favourite roads Daz, but I've never stopped to look at the monument or viaduct.
As Pegasus said "A road for the big bikes to stretch their legs"

Recognise that monument .Is it on the road from Fort William to Mallaig. Think the last time I was there was in a Volkswagon hire car after going from South of Edinburgh to Fort William on an AA relay truck after my car broke down. Car was in a garage at Corpach all week while cylinder head went up to Inverness to have cylinder head skimmed. Happy days. Toured all over Scotland in cars on holiday but never been there on motorbike.

Its been such a crap year, I've hardly taken any.
I was a bit underwhelmed by Kennedy Space Center except for the space shuttle section, it rocked

Great picture.
I visited Kennedy a few years ago and I found it depressing. The Apollo years were exciting but to see the remnants of these giant rockets stuck on their sides and the paint flaking on the Vertical Assembly Building killed the excitement.
The shuttle was still flying during my visit so I didn't see it there, but I saw Endeavour in Los Angeles after it had made its way on a flatbed trailer through the streets. I took a couple of pictures including one of the heatshield tiles which are individually numbered for placement.

Yes, the Saturn 5 exhibition hall didn't inspire me, especially being a child watching them launch on the TV. For such an important item laying one on its side didn't show its magnificence off at all. The hall was dark & poorly lit, unlike the relatively new shuttle exhibition.
The problem might stem from the fact that a lot of the Saturn 5 era stuff has just been binned, so there's nothing to show, although my American buddy says there is another Saturn 5 in storage somewhere. How do you hide something like that :-)

First time I travelled the Mallaig road it was single track with few passing places. The fishermen at Mallaig harbour were tipping the caught fish back into the sea as they could not get a reasonable price for their catch. How times have changed!
