This is road test of the new Ducati:

I don't think it comes out of the test particularly well if you notice some of the contents:

1) Harsh suspension for a 160lb rider particularly when leaning over.
2) Narrow seat means your knees hit bits of the engine
3) It vibrates at high rpm.

None of these items made me want to comment, but take a look at the front mudguard and tell me what use it would be on a wet British road. It doesn't even follow the wheel profile - they have got to be kidding. I think they just needed to use up a bit more red paint so added a bit of scrap between the forks.

Front mudguard wonderful design - keeps the headstock well protected from the weather. (not much else)

Weirdly, to my eyes the bike looks a bit like a Gladius, especially the headlight and exhaust.

And yes, the 'mudguards' would be as much use as a chocolate clutch cover.

Speaking of which, on a 90-mile ride yesterday there was precisely 2.5 miles of wet rural A-road (from a passing sharp shower). When I got back home, my SV and the back of my jacket were plastered with crap as usual. The downside of modern motorcycle styling.

It definitely doesn't look like a Monster. They've lost the Monster frame? I like the older ones but this just looks like a lot of other bikes. Suzuki GSX-S for example.

I really wanted a Monster a few years ago but sat on one and realised how small they are. That and the price to buy (and also to maintain) is what led me to owning an SV.

That front 'mud guard' is only there to meet legislation, not much else.

Looks nothing like a Monster, in any way/shape/form. And the new frame design with the engine hung/a stressed member makes it look unfinished - especially with all the exposed hoses. I mean if you can't route that section internally, at least use something that is aesthetically pleasing. Or add some miniature fairing on to hide/protect it.
