Someone has fitted a (large) windscreen to his Z900RS made by National Cycle (a well known US brand). It's secured by hoseclamps which broke - I try to gauge the mood before posting because I was appalled at the idea of using hoseclamps (jubilee clips) to secure something to the fork legs and assumed others would be too, but no one else commented so I remained quiet.

(but it still looks a bit naff to me).

To me that just looks like a recipe for disaster.

Some people are just dumb.
Most of as can see that a screen that massive, or any screen would exert quite a force on where it is clamped if you are doing any real speed.
Which is pretty much all the time on a bike.

I like the addition of zip-ties to strengthen the mounting. A permanent fix!
Buys a naked bike, then turns it into a Highway Cruiser. Has anyone suggested he has bought the wrong bike, not the wrong screen . . . .

I've noticed a cultural divide and unsolicited opinions are not always welcome from one side of the pond to the other.
I think the screen is unsolicited on a naked bike! If you want wind protection, you don't buy a Naked bike
