"some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make" (Lord Farquaad, Shrek movie)

The general trend is worrying (for me anyway).
Insidious changes being slipped in here and there, a bit at a time. Immigration practice and laws (and illegal/unlawful behaviour by the Home Office), Policing act, loud protests, wearing a loud shirt during the hours of darkness, walking on the cracks in the pavement ..............

Oh, and they've quietly slipped in the change from GB identifier on vehicles to "UK" as of 28th September https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/driving-abroad/355463/gb-stickers-no-longer-valid-driving-abroad#:~:text=But%20in%20the%20face%20of,Kingdom% 2C%20from%20%E2%80%9CGB%E2%80%9D%20to (and before anyone gets worked up about the EU, it's actually a UN system https://unece.org/trade/cefact/unlocode-code-list-country-and-territory ), having just changed the number plate identifier with a union flag plus GB only a few months ago. What's the bet a mate of a minister has a business making number plates or stickers?

Cruella Patel is on a roll at the moment, I love the way she declares what she will do without consulting the other countries involved (who just laugh, and say: "no"). The police claim that they did not want the anti-protest legislation, it was Patel herself that wanted it. The Conservatives are also making a grab for direct control of the NHS which, amongst other things, will allow contracts to be awarded without going to tender. Like they did with PPE contracts.
They have adopted "right to repair" which is great but excluded phones, PCs etc, which is not.

This is a good one.

It seems the way to avoid having to accept someone as a refugee is to not ask the relevant questions. [-(
