Anyone looked at this?

Although I've lived in Wales for nearly four decades my family is originally from Sussex. I never realised how far back the family went.

This was the result of a search against my name.

My name is too rare to appear.

Although I'm now in Cleethorpes (for my sins), I was born in Lincoln but the family seems to have come from Hitchin with offshoots in Nottinghamshire.

One of the oddest things I discovered when I was living in the US was that there was an area outside of Chicago called Lincolnshire and there were some African-American families with my last name.

Heh, that's good.

What boggles my mind is that in Europe, the 'isopoint' is around the 10th century AD, which means that anyone alive in Europe at that time who had offspring is a direct ancestor of every person alive today who is of European descent.

The 'global isopoint,' when anyone alive on Earth who had offspring is a direct ancestor of everyone alive today, was around 1400BC.

That's pretty interesting, my name is originally from Lanark (which I knew) but mostly in Surrey now

I also discovered that North Ease farm is still there in Rodmell. The place has been farmed apparently for over 1000 years.
