I'd listen to and play many more of them.

That round-back mandolin has a lovely tone.

I think it's actually a mandocello Craig, next size up from a mandolin. The tone says to me that it's a flat back but I could be wrong.

**Edit**
Or it may be an octave mandolin.

**EDIT#2**
Just looked at the credits at the end and Chris Green is playing a mandocello.

Either way, it's a lovely thing. Don't often see bellows pipes either.

The pipes look like a version of Northumbrian small pipes but without the larger drones.

Very much like Kate Rusby . She also sings that song.
eg utube - Kate Rusby ,sweet bells,(songs of praise )
or many other Kate Rusby songs on utube.

I've known of and been listening to Kate Rusby for many years. been to see her a couple of times too. Got a couple of her albums somewhere as well.

What I really like about the Green/Matthews version of Sweet Bells is that lovely combination of mandocello and pipes. The vocal interplay and harmonies are beautifully done too.

Just listened to Kate Rusby's version and the verse is sung to a different melody although the chorus is the same. Nice though it is I generally prefer the Green/Matthews version on this occasion.
