We all know energy prices have risen and continue to rise. I have successfully reduced my consumption so here are my results from December last year versus this year (average daily usage):

Dec2020

Gas 42kWh/day = £41.96
Elec 6kWh/day = £37.76

Dec2021

Gas 40kWh/day = £59.03
Elec 4kWh/day = £37.05

Next spring should be fun when the price cap is due to be raised and the bailout costs for the bankruptcies included.

theoretically my consumption does not change as i do the same things day in day out but for some reason my consumption is down as well. 40% less gas used and 30% less leccy used. like you i'm still on the "cap" tarriff till spring. good news is i over pay my DD so i have a little nest egg of about £800 in credit that should be a nice buffer when i get hit with the new prices.
