I'm old so I remember pre-internet days, in fact pre-pc days. I worked on DEC PDP-11 computers (running an old RS11 o/s) and the disk drives had removable packs and only held 300Mb (and the drives were the size of spin dryers).
So, I find it amazing that I can go online and order a motorcycle accessory from a Japanese website (webike), pay for it with a click on PayPal, and get it delivered within 5 days. Not only that, but I can check on its progress from Japan to the UK.
Finally, when it arrives the instructions were in Japanese (which I had been warned about) but I scanned them as a jpg uploaded it to Yandex which, for free, translated the page and allowed me to download to print.
Isn't technology wonderful?
