It's the 80th anniversary of the Dambuster raid today, 16th May. If you're in Lincolnshire (which is probably only me), the BoBMF Lancaster is flying over every airfield (past and present) this evening.

Agreed. We had ridden (again) to the Bomber Command Memorial where we learned of the fly over. The Memorial is worth a visit if you've not been - not only is it a fitting tribute to Bomber Command but also has a spectacular vista looking out towards Lincoln Cathedral. (The cake is good too, albeit expensive).

Stopped at B&B Suzuki to check out the GSX-8S and chat.

We then rode to Wickenby (ex RAF base), resisted more cake, watched an engine test of (I think) a Boeing Stearmont - a loud radial engine.
