I have visited the Crown - great pub and had a great choice of beers ,owned by the NT as I recall.

The story goes that a split religion couple owned it, one decided that a Crown would be inlaid in the doorway as you entered the Pub, (the protestant to show loyalty to the Crown.) The Roman Catholic readily agreed , 'because one had no option but to walk over the Crown to get into the Pub' Cannot remember who was who though.
