Like the heading says. Vote now (assuming I've sussed this poll lark)
I like it, but as they say, the proof is in the riding......which is gonna be sooooooon :)
i love it, looks hard as nails unfaired, black one with gold renthals mmmmmmmm.......

It's growing on me...
New frame seems to emphasise the bikes skinnyness though :?
At least the old frame added a bit of beef to the narrow engine.
Just my 2p.
Laters.
Looks awful both versions especially the cheap frame. What really bugs me is the improvements are what we wanted a couple of years ago more power suspension larger tank. Now Suzuki have done it & put it in that package.

More power? I think not. It's rated at 69bhp like the old one, unless you're referring to the 1000?

I voted for "ugly". I think the new shape looks too much like a FAZER. I also wonder if the new angular shape (not only on the SV but on many other bikes) has anything to do with the VFR being so pointy. I mean with Honda being the biggest M-facturer of bikes there is, I wonder if the smaller factories feel the need to follow the same styling trends. Just my thoughts and thanks for letting me ramble on :)

Jonboy, the new SV has more power, maybe not as much from the start, but it much easier to get more out of it with remapping, airfilter and exhausts.

It has been alleged by those who have seen them on a dyno that the new SV puts out 72 hp at the rear wheel where as most of the old shape ones only managed around 67 or 68 hp as standard.
An end can, filter and a bit of messing around with the fuel map should give you around 76 hp fairly easily.

I love both, but go ride a new one, then judge..... I did.
It may still be advertised as 69bhp, but I have seen the proof of RWHP (not measured at the spark plug or 'owt daft).

No they had that much at the crank, according to the blurb it has 1hp more at the crank. Apparently the engine is identical apart from the fuel injection so you can't expect much more as standard.
a good bike to ride, but it's way to ugly for me and i can't see it ever growing on me...

I like the new SVS - More aggressive styling etc. than the K2, however, it does look a little 'unfinished' with only a half fairing - I'm looking at either an SV650S or an SV1000S, but I think I'll fork out a little extra to buy a lowwer fairing (or at least a belly pan,) and a rear wheel hugger & get rid of that awful rear mud guard!
It has grown on me a fraction but the only thing that gets the bits that tingle actually tingling where the K3 is concerned is a K3 with the new Sharkskinz fairing, damn the race kits really set it off!

I have one and I love it.. I see it shining under the streetlights and think to myself... damn that's a fine bike!
My girlfriend calls the old one the 'bubble bike'.

I have one (copper) and love it. The way it looks is very cool and sleek
and it rides just the same. :D

I love it...
Enough to buy one that I can't even ride yet!!
Seen rw dyno (before & after M4 can) with 74bhp rising to (I think) 79. :D
Not a bad £500!!
The numberplate hanger has to go coz it is the biggest, ugliest monstrosity to have ever been seen on 2 wheels...
I've already got the bits to change that as soon as I get it! :D

Personally after owning both. The original as standard looked the dog's dooda's and the new K3 naked aside  Does look a bit on the unfinished side of things.
BUT... I think Suzuki's marketeer's have been at work cos if you look at the pricing for the new suzuki bits they are obviously counting on us to buy the goodies.
I know I did with the original, and will be with the new one. So there you have it. Too much success and capitalism.
Either way I gave up a nice shiny Ducati900ss to come back to the Suzuki fold.
I prefer the old style. I bought mine (naked) just before the k3 arrived and was very pleased I did when I saw the new shape. The framework looks cheap and unfinished, the instrument pod loks like an afterthought and the seat is higher and harder. What about that rear end,its a mess. And where have all the sexy curves gone?
Nope, I think I'll stick with the old style and to hell with the extra horses.
Love it! It's the first non-Honda I have ever considered buying

I was going to buy an 01 K2 because the the K3 in the bike mag's looked all angely and rough, and the K2 round and flowing, but after seeing both togather in the flesh, the K3 just started to look better and better. Still, they are both great bikes.
I've chipped the tank with a petrol pump handle, and had a carpark incident, low speed, brain fade, clutch out, no rev's, over on it's side in a flash, result, broken indicator, slight scratch on the exhaust, and a major red face.
Went straight home and kicked the cat.
