What colour?
Got my silver SVS02 rebuilt but with blue fairing + mudguard, should I spray blue bits silver or silver bits blue?
I intend to sell it to get an SV1000 and want the colour that would sell best.

If your going to sell it keep is standard :? , both are good colours :) . Personally I would go for Silver if I had the choice

Silver will probably be worth more on resale too.
It took me about 9 months to find a 2nd hand silver one, and there were more blue ones available that you could point a stick at!

Spray it all yellow - you know you want to!
Seriously you should take it back to the original - but then I'm a traditionalist!

If you're gonna sell it, then Silver.

2 reasons:

1) Its the original colour, so its what it says on the log book. No hassles of getting the log book changed etc.

2) If its Candy Grand blue, then its a 3 stage paint, meaning it has a silver undercoat, then the blue translucent topcoat, then lacquer! Its not cheap. I was quoted just under £100 for 1/2 litre for the 3 paints, and that was trade!!!

So silver it is then :D

failing that, paint it in Black speaker cabinet black. its a rubber paint, so in theory, makes it impervious to radar ;)

Wouldn't it be a lot easier and raise a lot less questions if the colour of the bike matches the colour stated on the V5?

Silver it is then! It will be for sale in August, not ayear old yet, many new parts fitted, less than 1000 miles, £3400
Ford Moondust silver is identical to Suzuki and half the money!
Last time I informed DVLA of a change of colour, the V5 was back in just 6 days!
If anyone is interested I have a brand new Black hugger, Suzuki Fairing lowers in blue(few scratches), a new Carbon can co Blue to Black fade race exhaust, includes link pipe, and a set of SVS clocks (without suround) All open to sensible offers.

how much did it cost for the respray then, and who did it for you?

The paint was £46 from Valtones (quoted the Suzuki paint code)
The labour for preparation, paint, and supply of the laquer was £90
Work was done at a local paint shop that specialises in VW's and bike paint
Everything was painted as there were some light marks from bungies etc.
but could have got away with just the front plastics & mudguard.
