Nice guy visits the oakdene with the Oakdene Massive most wednesday nights and went on the Rideout. One big problem he rides a Hornet. I know he likes SV's so just for a laugh who thinks he should change from this.

No, the Hornet is a far better bike than the SV. Having ridden both, and even owning one for a couple of months. If it wasnt for the mods that i had done to the bike, i would have sold the SV in favour of the Hornet, but the Hornet was worth more.

Its a cracking budget600, and if i had test ridden a hornet before buing the SV, then i woul have had a hornet.

I'd go along with that. Much as I luv my SV,the Hornet when ridden properly would kick its **** :(

Not sure about the paintscheme there Matt :? but definitely got yourself a good bike in the Hornet. Now the 900 in Ben Bostrom, red white & blue colours, thats a NICCCCCE bike. Dont think my insurance would stretch that far tho...bugger

But the SV has a character that the Hornet will never match. Plus low down torque of course. And a better sounding engine. And it's lighter. And the frame is a work of art (almost). And plenty of kudos. And a better forum. And...

(Time for bed, methinks!)

I'm with Jonboy on this, i test road both the hornet and the fazer and although both are good bikes 20k miles and 18 months (and a trip to France) later the SV was the right bike to get. The Sv looks better sounds much better and hasn't got a thimble for a tank.

I'm torn on this one, as based on test rides I actually thought the Hornet was more fun to ride than the SV

(note to Matt: NOT willing to swap though!)

It was close though and I went for the SV for other reasons and it turned out to be a cracking choice - lots of potential, nice looking, loads of torque, handy wind protection at speed  and it sounds very cool too...what am I talking about, there's no comparison - get an SV matty!!!

My twopenneth - ridden both Hornet was easier to ride but SV absolutely mullers it on looks & character - come on Matt you know its time to part with Kermits ******* love child!

He already knows what he must do (The force is strong in this one OB1, his only weakness is his orrible Hornet). If his fascination with Kermit is a factor we could always help him to create a Green SV!!! Now I haven't seen one of those on the road.

A green SV, now that would give Mark Rictus some competition :!:

A green sv, perish the thought :? . Sorry but leave the green to the Krapasaki's. But on a more serious note Matt the time has come for a change. YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!

It's only a matter of time. I could see the lust in his eyes for an SV on the rideout!
